SciLifeLab Compute and Storage (UPPNEX)
SciLifeLab Bioinformatics Compute and Storage is a facility at Science for Life Laboratory and part of the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden (NBIS). The facility is hosted at SNIC-UPPMAX and is a national resource and administers computational and storage resources, maintain relevant bioinformatics software and data (e.g. reference genomes), and offer associated user support for data-intensive bioinformatics and in particular Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). The facility has a large number of projects, and there is also a publication list available.
UPPNEX stands for "UPPmax NEXt generation sequencing Cluster & Storage" and is the historical project name at UPPMAX. UPPNEX was originally funded by the Knut och Alice Wallenberg foundation and the Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC).
If you are in need of computational resources for data-intensive bioinformatics, such as you will receive NGS-data from NGI, you can apply for a project.
